Works by 74 artists that thematize food or are made of food How to cook up such an exhibition: take a rich and well-defined topic whose parameters can be easily adjusted. As for the topic, such established stars as Attersee, Beuys, Kolig, Kupelwieser, Renner, Roth, Spoerri and Warhol quickly come to mind. These artists often thematize food in their work and are therefore a must for this exhibition.
Then contact artists with whom you have worked in the past and whose work perfectly fits the topic. Contact museums, collections and galleries for such further ingredients as suitable loans. Et voilà: the result is an exciting, varied and qualitative composite exhibition of artworks on the topic of food at which well-known Austrian and international artists as well as younger artists (particularly from Salzburg) are represented.
This exhibition at the Traklhaus is different, special and personal. But above all, it is up to date and brings together artworks by important artists that are products of our times.
